ŠKODA GAINS NEW

PRODUCTION

CAPACITY WITHIN

VW GROUP

ŠKODA AUTO IS TO GAIN ADDITIONAL CAPACITY WITHIN

VOLKSWAGEN GROUP’S PRODUCTION NETWORK.

BY RELOCATING THE MANUFACTURE OF THE NEXTGENERATION SUPERB FROM THE CZECH PLANT

IN KVASINY TO BRATISLAVA IN SLOVAKIA, ŠKODA AUTO

WILL FREE UP THE CAPACITY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

REQUIRED FOR THE BRAND’S PLANS FOR GROWTH.

The extra capacity will be used to build additional KODIAQ and

KAROQ SUVs and another ŠKODA model. In this regard, it was

decided that the next generation of the ŠKODA KODIAQ would

continue to be produced in Kvasiny.

The development of the next-generation SUPERB will also

remain with ŠKODA AUTO in the Czech Republic. Following

India, ŠKODA AUTO has now also been given responsibility

NEWS AT

ŠKODA SPACE

All employees have access to the ŠKODA

Space Employee Portal. Both production and

office workers can get to us via their smart

devices or computers. The coronacrisis

brought new challenges and accelerated the

company’s digitalization needs. Here are

the 5 areas that we currently focus on

with great intensity:

Information

Editing, visibility and

accessibility improvements.

UX/UI

Function over form. We are adjusting

the portal to make it as effective as possible

as a working tool. That means less scrolling,

clicking, more efficient use of space, smart

devices optimalization, etc.

Communication

We continue to support employees even

when they‘re working from home and

we try to simplify the exchange between

the employees and our company.

Notification

The notification center is another new

feature we’d like to introduce. It will ensure

company and personal notifications

for the followed Employee Portal content,

news and essential work events related

to your Area or you specifically.

Further Group Integration

Knowledge is the cornerstone.

We are trying to break down barriers

inside not just in our company, but

in the whole Group as well.

More info about the planned features, that we’d

like to implement this and the next year, will be

shared at ŠKODA Space before Christmas.

We are also preparing a survey for you to help us

find out what features you’d like to add and what

else we can improve.

ŠKODA OCTAVIA WINS

PRESTIGIOUS AUSTRIAN AWARD

The Austrian Automobile Association (ARBÖ) has honoured the all-new ŠKODA OCTAVIA with the Austrian

“Car of the Year” award, the “Große Österreichische Automobil-Preis”. The Czech best-seller’s 4th generation

has won the “Medium” category (vehicles costing from 20,001 to 50,000 euros, in the 37th edition of this longestablished event. It’s the OCTAVIA’s first win of the award, which has twice gone to the SUPERB in previous

years. The 100-strong jury consisted of experts, celebrities and readers of the association’s “Freie Fahrt”

magazine. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s award was presented at the Porsche Holding

headquarters in Salzburg. The new OCTAVIA is currently the best-selling vehicle in Austria.
