Education Opens the Path to the Future

Lifelong learning is not just a work necessity. It is an important personal choice that significantly influences our careers. Škoda Auto has a great deal to offer in this respect.

In today's era of rapid and fundamental change, the carmaker's competitiveness depends not only on the quality of its technologies and modern equipment, but above all on employees' readiness to respond

To meet new demands. Taking on new challenges, making cooperation more efficient, encouraging innovation and making full use of new tools would be impossible without high-quality skills development. That is precisely why Škoda Auto places great importance on it.

Education, like other fields, is undergoing a transformation. Alongside traditional forms of education, Škoda Academy has introduced a well-developed range of online courses on digital learning platforms, such as LinkedIn Learning, Seduo and Digiskills. It is also working on projects to support leadership, agility, new technologies and the education of the younger generation at the Škoda Auto Vocational School.

Tailor-made learning path for departments

Last year, the carmaker began systematically developing the Skill Management concept, which helps build a shared minimum foundation of strategic skills across the company. Alongside topics such as M365, artificial intelligence, data and agility, this year has also seen the emergence of themes like critical thinking, adaptability and personal resilience. The aim is to achieve even greater flexibility and focus on the educational needs of individual areas or teams. "We are ready to support departments in creating their own learning paths in Degree, which will target the needs of specific areas precisely," said Lucie Ferklová from SEA – Professional Training.

The Procurement Academy of the BZ – Procurement Central Function department has already established its own educational path and is thus developing specific competencies in the field of Procurement. The specialist From Trash to Treasure courses (see Škoda Mobil 5/2026) provide practical knowledge about materials, recycling processes and current sustainability trends. "The main aim is to help employees better understand specialist topics while also allowing them to return to this information at any time, as needed. The first three courses received very positive feedback, so their continuation and expansion to include further specialist topics is already being prepared," explained Iva Hamerle from the BZ department.

Make the most of the many development opportunities

Digital learning platforms give everyone the chance to find their own subject and study whenever it suits them. "We support people in taking responsibility for their own learning, not only with new quality content, but also by making learning more accessible, for example through mobile apps. This means you can have your instructor with you at any time," adds L. Ferklová. Don't hesitate to play a podcast in the car on your way to work or listen to an audio course on headphones while out for a walk.

How to support personal growth?

1 Adopt a Growth Mindset – Learning Is Not Just About Work Tasks. Personal growth affects private life, relationships and life satisfaction.

2 Try a new habit – swap random scrolling on social media for content on digital learning platforms, even just for ten minutes a day. When it becomes a habit, real change happens.

3 Get learning in your pocket – you can have Seduo and LinkedIn Learning on your mobile. Digital courses are available for front-line colleagues.
