The Slavia Even Massages Rear Passengers

Škoda's success in India is built on models developed specifically for the local market. One of these is the compact Slavia saloon, which has now undergone a significant facelift. As well as a new look, it offers features that are unusual in this segment – such as rear seats with a massage function.

The New Škoda Slavia Is Both Comfortable and Dynamic

The revamped compact saloon, designed for the Indian market, is available in two exclusive paint finishes and boasts a number of firsts in its segment.

From the World

With 75 thousand units sold to date in India, the Škoda Slavia is one of the best-selling saloons in its class. The updated version builds on this success and, with its focus on comfort and dynamics, aims to appeal to an even wider audience.

India remains one of our most important global growth markets and a great example of what Škoda Auto can achieve when we listen closely to our customers. The new Slavia builds on this approach. It strengthens a model that has become a real success story, earning the trust of customers,“ said Klaus Zellmer, Board Chairman, on the presentation of the model.

Redesigned Look

Indian customers expect to see the changes at first glance. That is why the Škoda Slavia has undergone a facelift inspired by the recently updated Kushaq SUV. The car looks more dynamic, reflecting the growing popularity of sportier cars. This is one of the reasons why the Monte Carlo version has been available since production began. It features a two-tone paint finish, distinctive black exterior elements, Monte Carlo badging and design details that pay homage to the brand’s motorsport heritage.

The Škoda Slavia gets an even more distinctive look thanks to new LED headlights, redesigned LED tail lights with dynamic indicators, a strip between them featuring the Škoda lettering, and specially designed light-alloy wheels.

Elegantly hidden front parking sensors are a detail showing the care that the carmaker devoted to the model. A special feature in the updated colour palette is the exclusive Arctic Silver paint, which the carmaker will offer in a limited edition of 500 units.

Versatile and Modern

The interior has also been given a more modern take, with a greater focus on elegance. The Monte Carlo version features an overall darker colour scheme with wine-red contrasts. "We were inspired by the Nashik wine region in India," says designer Caroline Liehr. Other versions are available, for example, with an elegantly styled lighter beige interior.

The equipment also includes ventilated front seats, and for the first time in its class, the Škoda Slavia offers rear seats with a massage function. "This car is an ideal choice for owners looking for versatility. It allows them to travel comfortably in the rear seats during the working week and enjoy family trips at the weekend," explains designer Gaurav Bhatia.

The Škoda Slavia has therefore also received a range of improved technology. The 1.0 TSI engine can now also be combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox with a hydrodynamic torque converter. Versions with the 1.5 TSI engine have disc brakes at the rear. The infotainment system with a 10.1-inch display supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and offers an AI companion using Automotive AI Agent technology from Google Cloud. The equipment is also complemented by a range of safety features and driver assistance systems.

The new product was announced by the top management

The world premiere of the modernised Škoda Slavia saloon took place in August, less than five years after the original model was launched. The car was presented to the media in Mumbai, India, with the carmaker's management in attendance. Those present included Klaus Zellmer, Board Chairman, Martin Jahn, Board Member for Sales and Marketing, Maren Gräf, Board Member for People and Culture, and Holger Peters, Board Member for Finance, IT and Legal Affairs. They were joined by Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Chief Production Officer.
