Journalists examined the new model in advance
While the Epiq was making its world premiere in Switzerland, journalists across Europe were already publishing detailed impressions of the car's appearance and features. How is that possible? After all, they did not have the time or space to examine the new model during the launch event, let alone prepare an article or video report. The answer is that they were prepared in advance. For journalists, digital content creators and PR managers, Škoda organised the Content Creator Days event in Bezděčín from 13 to 24 April. In a closed-door setting and under an embargo, the brand presented not only the Epiq but also the upcoming seven-seat electric SUV Peaq, whose premiere is fast approaching. The event complemented the other communication activities around the Epiq. During test drives with the camouflaged prototype, participants could not see or try everything; detailed testing with the uncamouflaged car is still to come. "Content Creator Days gave guests the time and space to really get to know the car and prepare content without pressure. This led to higher-quality media coverage. The benefit is mutual – for both the media and Škoda Auto," explains Zbyněk Straškraba from the GKP – Product Communication department. The presentation at Design Hall H1 in Bezděčín was a static display. Guests could not only view the cars there but also take photos and videos. According to the feedback, they greatly appreciated the chance to prepare calmly and thoroughly.
