Warning lights you may not know
While some warning lights in the cockpit are well known to drivers, others can catch them off guard. Here is an overview of the pictograms that may light up in Škoda Auto vehicles.
Bad weather lights activated
In modern cars, this has replaced the front fog light icon.
Lights not switched on
If the driver has not switched to automatic mode and the headlights are not on when they should be, this symbol alerts them.
Increased CO2 concentrations
An unusual icon shows that the air quality inside the cabin is unhealthy. Ventilate the cabin and take the car to a service centre.
Limited or insufficient driving performance
The "turtle" pictogram is a new feature in electric vehicles. It glows orange when the battery is too cold to deliver full power, and red when only a small amount of energy remains.
Worn brake pads
The electronics monitor brake wear in electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, which rely mainly on regenerative braking.
Electronic engine sound malfunction
This light warns that people nearby may not notice a moving electric vehicle. Drive carefully and visit a service centre.
You can find out more about the new indicators in the online magazine Škoda Storyboard.

Designers describe the creation of the Epiq model
When designing the new model, Škoda Auto designers followed several principles that define the Modern Solid design language. The first is purity, without unnecessary lines, so that the truly important ones can stand out. The second is sophistication, which in practice means a clear definition of every curve and edge, with every detail working both aesthetically and technically. Another key point is functionality – both externally (aerodynamics) and internally, through an interior with clear architecture and a combination of physical and digital controls.

How the Traffication app can help you
The Traffication app is available in the infotainment systems of Škoda vehicles built since 2019. It warns drivers in real time about potentially dangerous situations on the road ahead – for example, traffic jams, accidents or a train approaching a crossing – including reports from other Škoda drivers. You can learn how to use the app on Škoda's YouTube channel.
