Elroq and Enyaq now also offered in the L&K version

The Laurin & Klement top-of-the-range trim level has been added to Škoda’s wide range of electric models on the Czech market. The Elroq and new Enyaq models, including the Coupé variant, are available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, with 85 and 85x powertrains delivering 210 kW. Equipment includes 21-inch polished anthracite alloy wheels, an illuminated front grille and a beige leather interior. Matrix-LED headlights, adaptive suspension with progressive steering, a heat pump, electrically adjustable front seats with memory, massage function and ventilation and a head-up display with augmented reality are all included. The recommended retail price starts at CZK 1,339,000, including VAT, for the Elroq model and CZK 1,429,000 for the Enyaq model. All versions are already available in the configurator and can be ordered from authorised dealers for the 2026 model year.

New parking spaces

On Monday, 1 September, a new section of the parking lot was opened at Gate 11 next to the Laurin & Klement Campus. The area has added 324 new parking spaces, which are available to all employees without restriction. Access remains via the existing entrance, without a barrier gate. Thanks to a joint initiative by Škoda Auto and its social partner, the KOVO Trade Union, employees now have greater certainty of finding a suitable parking space when arriving at work, which improves commuting comfort.

Brand group core increased sales

The VW Group’s volume brands recorded a successful first half of 2025 and increased car sales by 1.3% year-on-year to 2.53 million units. Brand Group Core also improved its cost efficiency thanks to a number of measures. This resulted in revenues 5% higher, reaching EUR 72.5 billion.

Superb confirms its safety record

The current generation of the Superb model received five stars in July 2024 in the independent Euro NCAP safety test. It was the safest model tested in the large family car class that year and was named “Best in Class Car of 2024”. This year, the carmaker launched the Superb in Australia and New Zealand, and in August, it also received five stars in an independent test conducted by the local ANCAP organisation.

Wallbox can be purchased with a subsidy

The new Škoda Charger meets the conditions of the New Green Savings programme. Households in single-family homes and apartment buildings can receive a subsidy of up to CZK 15,000 for a wallbox if they are also receiving a subsidy for insulating their home or for replacing and installing environmentally friendly energy sources. The availability of subsidies for charging stations in various amounts also applies to apartment buildings, housing associations and cooperatives, public administration, municipalities, contributory organisations, companies and sole traders. Applications for subsidies can be submitted electronically through the New Green Savings portal.

To mark its anniversary, the carmaker launched a limited edition of 130 Elroq RS 130 cars in matte grey with maximum equipment. Each authorised dealer received only one vehicle, with a recommended price of CZK 1,369,000, including VAT.

Ošatník collection helps schoolchildren

Škoda Auto once again supported the Ošatník charity collection for schoolchildren from disadvantaged families and, together with the KOVO Trade Union, contributed CZK 200,000. Maren Gräf, Board Member for People & Culture, also took part in the launch of the second round of the collection on 19 August. The aim was to provide school supplies before the start of the school year to pupils in the region who cannot afford them. In the first round of the collection, which took place in June, the organisers collected more than 250 backpacks.

Digiteq Automotive now led by an expert in automated driving

Digiteq Automotive, a subsidiary of Škoda Auto and CARIAD from the VW Group, has a new CEO as of August. Marco Jähnisch, who has worked for more than 20 years in automated driving and in developing technology platforms for software-defined vehicles, has taken on the role. With this move, Digiteq Automotive is strengthening its global ambitions and competitiveness. Jähnisch’s predecessor, Wilhelm Schmitt, is moving to a new management position within the VW Group.

The first-generation Octavia has faithfully served Jómundur Ólason and his wife in Iceland since 2003, covering more than 1 million kilometres.

HR Consulting Centre celebrates success 

Two years ago, the HR Consulitng Centre was established to simplify and streamline communication between employees and the HR department. Today, it can boast not only a significant milestone in the number of cases resolved but also excellent customer satisfaction, scoring 4.3 out of 5. More and more users are taking advantage of the digital employee self-service, which allows them to quickly handle matters without having to visit in person. For more complex cases that cannot be resolved in this way, employees can use the My HR Requests tool. The HR Consulting Centre team will then take care of everything necessary.

Felicia Fun, even more fun

Julien Petitseigneur, a designer from the EDI/1 – Design Interior – Architecture department, has re‑imagined one of Škoda’s most characterful models in his spare time. In his design study, he gave the beach pick-up a Modern Solid look. He didn’t hold back. For example, he added pink accents to the iconic yellow bodywork, tinted the windows, modified the wheel and bumper details and even redesigned the rear lights.
