eMOBILITY MYTHS: CHARGING
Most owners charge their electromobiles at home and overnight, when
there’s enough time. The electric CITIGOe iV can charge to 80% capacity
(200 km drive) in 4 hours 15 minutes. Even if your night is very short, you
car will be ready for the morning commute, or an even longer journey.
The CITIGOe iV also supports 40 kW fast charging, when an 80% charge
takes just one hour. So your car can charge sufficiently during a regular
supermarket shopping. The modern MEB platform that will be used
in the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV under preparation enables high-performance
charging (up to 125 kW), which means that an electric car can charge for
a journey of hundreds of kilometres in roughly half an hour.

Famous Czech Writer Karel Čapek
was one of the happy customers
of ŠKODA. On 5 June 1935,
together with actress Olga
Scheinpflugová, they set out on
a holiday to Alps and Slovakia in
the ŠKODA POPULAR. During
this journey, he proposed to her
after 15 years of acquaintance.
After returning to Prague, the
POPULAR drove them to their
wedding on 26 August 1935.
An authentic garage has been
preserved at the Karel Čapek
Memorial in Stará Huť near Dobříš.
ŠKODA RAPID from this period is
exhibited here to commemorate
Čapek’s relationship to our cars.
