Over 1 million cars and the best result in six years
In 2025, Škoda Auto reached several important milestones. It delivered 1,043,900 cars worldwide and also surpassed 1 million vehicles produced. In Europe, the brand moved into the Top three best-selling manufacturers. One contributing factor was the growing interest in electrified vehicles, which accounted for around a quarter of sales. The Octavia continues to be the brand’s best-selling model.
Best Result in Six Years
Elroq
In its first year of sales, Škoda Auto delivered 95,300 fully electric Elroq models to customers. This made it the second best-selling electric car in Europe and the best-selling electric car in Denmark and the Netherlands. Thanks to high demand and flexible manufacturing, 112,500 Elroq units have been built since series production began in January 2025. The model has also won several international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Car of the Year 2026 title in Germany.
Results
Škoda Auto delivered 1,043,900 vehicles to customers worldwide in 2025. In Europe (EU 27 + 4), this represented an increase of 9.9% (836,200 cars), making it the third best-selling brand in its main market for the first time. The success of electrified vehicles (BEV and PHEV) contributed significantly to this result: Every fourth Škoda vehicle (25.7%) was a plug-in vehicle. In addition, strong demand for the fully electric Elroq and Enyaq models secured fourth place for the brand among electric car manufacturers in Europe. Germany remains the largest market with 211,100 deliveries to customers (+12.8%), followed by the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, India and Poland.
The modernisation in production performance in 2024 also led to last year’s success in this area. The carmaker passed the milestone of 1 million Škoda cars produced worldwide (1,065,000). In addition, it produced 329,000 battery systems for electric cars and plug-in hybrids, more than 1,030,000 gearboxes and over 500,000 engines.
2026 will see the launch of new electric models: The Epiq urban crossover and the 7-seater Peaq family SUV will double the current range of fully electric Škoda models. The carmaker is already preparing for their production.

Milestones
Vision O premiere
As the leading estate car brand in the European market, Škoda presented the Vision O study, which hints at its electric future and the development of the Modern Solid design language. The car was designed “from the inside out” with a strong focus on customers.
The millionth Octavia
Škoda’s best-selling model series reached a major milestone last year. Production of the fourth generation of the Octavia, which has been available since 2020, exceeded 1 million units. Since 1996, the carmaker has produced 7.6 million Octavia models in four modern generations.
Successful expansion
Last year, production of the Slavia and Kushaq models began in Vietnam. In India, the carmaker delivered a record 70,600 cars to customers, and in September, its local plants produced 100,000 Kushaq models; production of the Kylaq SUV also got off to a successful start. Furthermore, the brand expanded its presence in the Middle East, including Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Production growth in Czechia
A total of 605,600 cars (+4.9%) were produced in Mladá Boleslav: the Fabia, Scala, Octavia, Kamiq, Enyaq, Enyaq Coupé and Elroq model series. In Kvasiny, where the Octavia, Karoq and Kodiaq models are assembled, 301,500 Škoda cars were produced. The Vrchlabí plant produced a total of 721,400 seven-speed DSG transmissions (DQ 200).
Car no. 1 million
Owing to high global demand for the Kodiaq SUV, production at the Kvasiny plant was expanded to a second line. Last year, the Kodiaq also became the millionth vehicle produced worldwide. The milestone model was the Sportline version with a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
