Škoda Deliveries Grow Significantly
In the first six months of 2025, Škoda Auto delivered 509,400 cars to customers worldwide, exceeding last year’s result for this period by more than 60,000 cars. Thus, the Czech carmaker’s growth exceeded the European and global average for this industrial sector. Both conventionally powered models and hybrid and electric models contributed to this growth. The new Elroq and Enyaq models are particularly successful in this segment, with Škoda selling 148% more electric cars in the first half of the year than in the same period last year. In Europe, electrified models already account for almost a quarter of Škoda Auto’s total volume. “Škoda employees continue to excel in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on customers and on maintaining an efficient and robust business model. I would like to thank them, as well as our dealers and suppliers,” said Klaus Zellmer, Škoda Auto CEO.

This year’s first expert community meeting took place on 25 June at the Škoda Museum, with participants also being able to join online. Participants learned more about the cars’ environmental impact and the markets where they are most successful. Another topic was a behind-the-scenes look at the Czech New Energies Rally where a Škoda crew competed against other electric cars in an Elroq in Český Krumlov. Finally, the experts explored the latest innovations in battery technologies.
Use air conditioning efficiently and in a way that does not cause harm.
Here are some basic tips.
1. First, thoroughly air your car.
2. Set the temperature so that it differs from the outside temperature by no more than 5°C.
3. Leave the other settings on automatic if possible. Leave the vents open and direct them towards the windows in the upper part of the interior.
4. Before arriving at your destination, gradually adjust the temperature to match the outside temperature.
5. Shortly before the end of the journey, turn off the air conditioning completely to rid it of moisture. This will prevent mould from forming.

How model makers work in design
Designing future Škoda models involves more than just working with a sketchbook and advanced software. Sometimes you need to get your hands dirty. This task is taken on by model makers who create a life-size clay model. It is a precise and extremely time-consuming task. You can see how they work in an article in the Škoda Storyboard online magazine.
