FOR ŠKODA AUTO EMPLOYEES
The Czech Republic is starting the year 2021
on Level 5, the strictest level of the nationwide
system set up to fight the COVID-19, and the
current numbers of the infected are alarming.
Restrictions and measures at ŠKODA AUTO
have been designed as preventive since the
very beginning, and thus they remain the same.
However, consistent compliance with these
restrictions is still essential, especially now
after a two-week break, when the risk of
transmission was higher, due to more frequent
social contacts with family members and close
friends. An overview of health and safety
restrictions adopted by ŠKODA AUTO
in cooperation with the KOVO Trade Union
is provided on ŠKODA Space. In particular,
we would like to highlight the possibility to
take free antigen tests. Use this option if you
have any doubts about your health condition,
eliminainge the risk of infecting other
colleagues within the Company.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Thomas Schäfer, ŠKODA
AUTO CEO, wishes
employees a happy new
year 2021, and summarizes
the upcoming challenges.
Aside from the coronavirus
pandemic, this also includes
the extension of our model
portfolio. We will present
the new generation of the
FABIA, as well as
modernized SUVs KODIAQ
and KAROQ and a new
ENYAQ IV derivate.
And our Group regional
responsibility has been
expanded to Russia and
North Africa - two regions
with great sales potential.

From 6 January on, making an appointment is
easy via the COVID-19 Case Registry that
is available on ŠKODA Space and in @SMART
Apps. Antigen testing takes place at the
ŠKODA AUTO Polyclinic in Mladá Boleslav,
sampling room on the ground floor.
The contact persons for Kvasiny and Vrchlabí
employees wishing to take this test are Mrs.
Hana Rykrová and Mrs. Věra Prokorátová at
SG, respectively. These tests are available to
all MFA card holders and are free.

MILLION ŠKODA CARS
IN THE YEAR 2020
Fantastic news to start the year: ŠKODA AUTO a.s.
delivered over one million cars worldwide in #2020.
This is a great result, especially considering the
#coronavirus pandemic and the associated five-week
production shutdown during the first wave in spring.
A big thank you to Alain Favey, the entire sales team as
well as our importers and dealership partners who have
done an incredible job! An equally big thank you to our
Production department that, together with Purchasing,
Quality Management and all other Škodians, fought hard
for every single ŠKODA. I also want to thank our social
partner KOVO for the support and trustful cooperation
in these challenging times. We demonstrated great passion
and team spirit in contributing to the very gratifying overall
result in 2020. This shows me once again what an
exceptional team we have here!
Now it’s time to pick up exactly where we left off at the
end of 2020. ŠKODA has exciting new products in the
pipeline for this year, and we are going all out to take
the company to the next level together!

IN ARAMARK RESTAURANTS
TO INCREASE THE COMFORT OF RESTAURANT CUSTOMERS
AND TO COMPLY WITH THE PREVENTIVE SAFETY MEASURES
AGAINST COVID-19, WE EXPAND PAYMENT OPTIONS IN OUR
RESTAURANTS WITH CONTACTLESS PAYMENT USING
A CREDIT CARD IN ALL RESTAURANTS AT ŠKODA AUTO.
In all restaurants of our Czech plants, you can
already pay for meals with a credit card,
contactless or by phone using Apple Pay or
Google Pay. There is always at least one cash
register for these kinds of payment in every
restaurant. Each of them is specially marked.
At the restaurant entrances, you can see logos
of those credit cards, that can be used. Credit
card payments are not limited and you can pay
We believe you will appreciate this payment
option for its indisputable safety advantages,
especially now during an ongoing pandemic.
Contactless payment allows faster processing
at the cash registers. It also makes
payment much more comfortable
for customers from the ranks of external
employees, who no longer need to
remember to carry enough cash
Similar to payment by cash, credit
card payments are not eligible for
applying employee subsidies.
Therefore, nothing changes in the
rule stating that internal employees
are primarily paying for meals with
a MFA card. The service above
does not apply for meal ticket cards.
