WEEKLY

FOR ŠKODA AUTO EMPLOYEES

02/2021

4,229 PEOPLE TESTED IN 2 DAYS FOR FREE AT ŠKODA

Not underestimating the critical coronavirus

situation, ŠKODA AUTO agreed with the

KOVO Trade Union to launch, with their

support, a massive antigen testing campaign

in all of its Czech plants on the first working

days of 2021. Free antigen tests were

provided on 4 and 5 January 2021 at

thirteen ŠKODA AUTO sampling points

with no need to make an appointment. The

objective was to prevent the infection from

hitting the Company after employees' return

to work from the Christmas holiday.A total

of 4,229 took this free-testing opportunity,

of which 125 tested positive. Statistically,

this number of positive cases is well below

the national average.

From 6 January 2021, all MFA Card holders are

entitled to take a free antigen test after making

an appointment via the COVID-19 Cases File app

that is available on ŠKODA Space

or in @SMART Apps.

ICONS GET A MAKEOVER: A NEW

TAKE ON A SPORTING LEGEND

Aymeric Chertier of ŠKODA Design contributed with his concept to

ŠKODA Storyboard's Icons Get a Makeover project. His 130 RS

study more than just a stylish car that wants to turn heads with a

retro design inspired by a successful racing model. “In its day, the 130

RS was a car that broke down many barriers and was completely out

of the ordinary,” says Aymeric, ringing true in more than one sense.

The 130 RS, a product of the then communist Czechoslovakia, broke

out of the confines of the communist bloc. The car's international

success earned it the nickname “the Porsche of the East”.

SAFE & COMFORTABLE WINTER WITH ŠKODA

Electric elements in our vehicles heat windows, mirrors, seats and steering wheel. Thanks

to the auxiliary heating, the passengers get even more warm and comfortable in winter.

Owners of ŠKODA iV models can also conveniently pre-heat their vehicle during the

charging process. The energy required for pre-heating comes from the mains supply and

not from the vehicle’s lithium-ion battery, which means the maximum electric range is

maintained. A heat pump will also be available as an option for the all-electric ENYAQ iV.
