CORRECT USE
OF AIRWAY PROTECTION
WE ARE HONEST
AND SPEAK UP
WHEN SOMETHING
IS WRONG
Dear colleagues,
ŠKODA AUTO and the KOVO Trade Union keep monitoring
and evaluating the latest developments around the
COVID-19 pandemic. To respond to the current situation,
we have adopted a series of adequate health-and-safety
restrictions & measures known as Safe Production and
Safe Office, their objective being to protect the health of our
employees while ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production
and thus making it possible for our Company to continue its
business.
The SO department and our security service contractor
continue performing extensive checks of compliance with the
said measures & restrictions. Some of us, however,
repeatedly breach them. The most common type of breach is
failure to wear a face mask or incorrect use of a face mask in
workplaces and/or other locations within the ŠKODA AUTO
site. A face mask put on and worn correctly is one of the key
measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our
Company – see the illustration of correct face mask use
below. Please be advised that non-compliers may face
disciplinary sanctions under the internal Work Rules.
Management-level staff members are obliged to check
compliance with the said measures within their teams, in
order to avoid possible disciplinary sanctions for inaction.
Thank you for your cooperation. It's about our health!

WE SOLIDIFIED OUR POSITION
ON THE CZECH MARKET
The expected soft decrease in car sales was accompanied by the negative
influence of the COVID-19 epidemic. This combined caused a minor recession of
the Czech automobile market. Despite that, we managed to increase our market
share to 36,9 % with 74 786 registered vehicles. Electromobility is also on the
rise. The best-selling electric car was unequivocally the CITIGOe eiV with 943 units.
Adding another 741 was the ENYAQ iV, that only launched production at the end
of last year. Therefore, only cars used for presentation and internal use (e.g.
company cars or cars for Technical Development, Quality, etc.) were registered.
