CORPORATE ARCHIVE AT ŠKODA SPACE

While you can find the traditional corporate archive where Laurin & Klement started producing bikes and

motorcycles, the more convenient option for employees is its online version. Access it by clicking the magnifying

glass icon in the top panel at ŠKODA Space and selecting the „Corporate Archive“ tab. Here you will find

concept art of historical ŠKODAs, archive issues of the Ventil (ŠKODA Mobil predecessor), unique photos and

other documents from the past.

ŠKODA

ACADEMY'S

DIGITAL

EDUCATION

Last year, due to the COVID-19

pandemic, the ŠKODA

Academy moved consistently

to online offerings. Trainees and

students at the company’s

training facility now benefit from

a diverse virtual training

programme that is continuously

being expanded.

IT courses, in particular, are in

high demand, with 4,100 people

enrolled. The company is also

pushing ahead with the

development of its workforce in

the field of electromobility: to

date, more than 16,500

employees have completed

special courses.

Rallye Monte-Carlo (21-24/01/2021). Their success at the same time

marked the first victory for the updated 2021 generation of the ŠKODA

FABIA Rally2 evo. By also winning the “Power Stage”, the two Norwegians

start their 2021 campaign with the maximum of 30 championship points.

Driving the second ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo of team Toksport WRT,

NO. OF THE WEEK

750 000

Despite the 39-day production

shutdown, more than 750,000

vehicles rolled off the

production lines at the Mladá

Boleslav and Kvasiny sites.

The OCTAVIA was the frontrunner with 187,000 units

produced. The series

production of the batteryelectric ENYAQ iV began on

the highly innovative assembly

line in Mladá Boleslav, where

we primarily produce the

OCTAVIA. In addition, ŠKODA

employees have also produced

engines, axles, bodies as well as

gearboxes and high-voltage

traction batteries.

The company also launched

numerous innovation projects

to modernise its production

processes last year.

CHALLENGE: HOW

DO YOU LIMIT YOUR

WASTE OUTPUT?

Ecology and a sustainable lifestyle are words you can hear very often

nowadays. What about You, Škodians? Do you sort and compost waste or

do you recycle and upcycle*? We will be happy to include your waste

solutions as tips in the ŠKODA Mobil's "Buď eko" ("Be eco") section.

Share your experience with

us at the e-mail address

RACING

85 YEARS

AT RALLYE

MONTE

CARLO

WE BEGAN OUR

SUCCESSFUL

MOTORSPORT

INVOLVEMENT, WHICH

HAS INCLUDED

NUMEROUS VICTORIES

AT THE FAMOUS

MONTE CARLO RALLY.

Laurin & Klement vehicles

joined the rally classic in

1912, and in 1936 a

model with the winged

arrow was on the start

line for the first time at

the legendary competition – the POPULAR

SPORT roadster finished

in second place in the

under-1.5-litre class. After

WWII, our vehicles initially

earned a name for

themselves in the

under-1300 cm3 class, as

demonstrated by the

OCTAVIA TS hat-trick

between 1961 and 1963.

In the 1990s, the

FAVORIT 136 L

continued this success

story in Monte Carlo with

four class victories in a

row, taking first place

from 1991 to 1994. The

4WD FABIA has been

sensational on the special

stages in the Maritime

Alps above Monaco since

the 2010s: FABIA Rally2

evo also triumphed at

Rallye Monte Carlo 2021.
