ŠKODA AUTO Policy in a new form
n April, the Board of Directors approved an updated version of the ŠKODA AUTO Policy, which is one of the company’s basic documents and forms a key part of the Integrated Management System (IMS). It summarises the carmaker’s commitments, which relate primarily to the quality of the system, processes and products, environmental protection, energy savings, occupational safety and information. “In three parts, the ŠKODA AUTO Policy introduces the company’s intentions in carrying out complex business activities. In addition to traditional aspects, it also covers trends arising from the need for cyber security, personal data protection and the ever-increasing use of information technology and digital data transmission”, explains Tomáš Kramný from GQZ – Quality Management System. While producing a draft of the new version, the team of authors had to take into account the requirements of sustainable development and new systems, such as product compliance management, environmental management compliance and other Together4Integrity initiatives that are part of the IMS certification processes. The new ŠKODA AUTO Policy continues to place great emphasis on the carmaker’s obligations within the compliance with legal regulations and responsible management in accordance with the Code of Ethics.
