ŠKODA AUTO FORvaccination

Colleagues are reaching out to employees with a new vaccination campaign

F

ollowing intensive internal communication on the fight against the coronavirus over the past 14 months, ŠKODA AUTO is starting another phase to inform more than 35,000 employees in its Czech plants.

The new ŠKODA AUTO for Vaccinations campaign aims to answer the most common questions related to the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine in a simple way and simultaneously present how people benefit from getting vaccinated. “Doctors and scientists agree that this is one of the most effective ways to reduce the COVID-19 pandemic and return to normal life. Since our priority is the health of employees and their families, we strive to provide detailed and open information about all aspects of the protective vaccine administration”, says Jiří Prokop, Head of SG – Health Services and Ergonomics. In addition to detailed texts informing about the latest study findings and recommendations from doctors and scientists, the information campaign seeks to describe the vaccination benefits in the words of specific employees who have already received the vaccine. For example, the fire department coordinator is in favour of vaccinations to keep his team at full strength, the security officer is looking forward to travelling more easily with his family, and the plant physician wants us to finally throw away our protective face masks and respirators thanks to the vaccinations. Colleagues from other areas have also taken part.

To raise awareness of vaccination opportunities, the campaign uses a wide variety of communication channels to reach all employees at the Czech plants. Most of them work in production, where communication is directed through ŠKODA Mobil, ŠKODA Weekly, posters and stickers in washrooms, as well as information screens and disinfection stands. The central continuously updated source of information is the ockovani.skoda-auto.cz website, which you can access, along with ŠKODA Space, after logging in with your DZC username and LDAP password (detailed instructions can be found in the May 2021 issue of ŠKODA Mobil).

The carmaker’s management, in cooperation with the KOVO Trade Union, has previously called on employees to use the state vaccination system, and the Board Members set an example by getting vaccinated as soon as the state vaccination system rules allowed them to do so. The vaccination campaign also motivates employees through the Cafeteria ŠKODA Benefits programme. Every employee who gets vaccinated against coronavirus will receive 300 points (corresponding to CZK 300) in the internal benefits system, which can be exchanged for a wide range of benefits and services from external partners or ŠKODA AUTO. Rules

Except at the office that you share with your regular colleagues, the mandatory respiratory protection still applies since even a vaccinated person can continue to transmit the infection and endanger others.

The exception to mandatory on-site testing goes into effect for fully (both doses) vaccinated people on 4 June. You can prove this by showing a certificate generated on the ocko.uzis.cz website. If you were vaccinated outside of the ŠKODA AUTO medical facility, you must e-mail a scan of this certificate to: prohlidky.prevence@skoda-auto.cz.

An issued certificate also means that you can, for example, receive spa rehabilitation care or take part in authorised events where a test would otherwise be required.

Are you for vaccinations?

Where: For vaccinations, use the Central Reservation System of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic at registrace.mzcr.cz; you will also find a link to it below in the form of a QR code. On the ockoreport.uzis.cz website, you will see the current number of people waiting at the individual vaccination places, as well as the number of people vaccinated in the past few days. In many places, waiting times are now very short – only a few days.

Who: Anyone over the age of 16 can currently register in the Central Reservation System.

How: Vaccination is considered a medical facility treatment or examination; as such, it is carried out either outside of working hours or during working hours when the employee is excused for the necessary time up to a maximum of one shift on a given day.

Enter the Central Registration System and register to get the vaccination here.
