A new addition to the GQM-2 materials laboratory equipment portfolio – the ZEISS GeminiSEM 500 electron microscope.
Four material technology experts will be trained to work on the new equipment - in the picture, specialist Vít Kotrbatý is analysing the polymer structure.
Jan Pánek – Metal Material Test Coordinator shows Florian Weymar, Head of GQ – Quality Management, the function of the new equipment.
The specimen, approximately 1-5 cm in size, is placed on a handling stage in the vacuum chamber of the microscope.
The monitors can simultaneously display a preview of the vacuum chamber with the sample, surface topography, chemical and structural analysis of the material, etc.
The presentation of the new facility to representatives of GQ – Quality Management took place on 10 June 2021.
The presentation included an expert discussion on the possibilities of using the equipment in the analysis of new technologies (pictured from left: Florian Weymar, Oliver Starke, Roger Hillert and Petr Sobotka).
