THE NEW OCTAVIA RS iV REVEALED
For the first time, we are offering an RS model with
a plug-in hybrid drive. The combination of a petrol
1,4 TSI engine and a 85 kW electric motor in the new
OCTAVIA RS iV results in an overall output of 180
kW (245 hp) of the whole unit. At a first glance, the
OCTAVIA RS iV stands out as a top-of-the-line sports
model in the fourth generation of the best-selling
SKODA model thanks to its well designed black
chassis elements. The new OCTAVIA is also available
in three other electric-powered versions.
The OCTAVIA iV with plug-in hybrid drive, available
in the Ambition and Style equipment levels, offers
a total output of 150 kW (204 hp). Two e-TEC
versions, with an output of 81 kW (110 hp) and
110 kW (150 hp) respectively, are the first ŠKODA
vehicles to implement mild-hybrid technology.
The video premiere and more information about
the OCTAVIA RS iV is available on the ŠKODA
OUR COLLEAGUES’ VISIT TO INDIA
At the end of January and in early February 2020, Bohdan Wojnar, a member of the ŠKODA AUTO board,
and Jaroslav Povšík, chairman of the KOVO Unions, visited our Indian operations in Púne and Aurangabad.
There they met with local employees – including colleagues who were sent there from the Czech Republic
– as well as with union representatives. The engagement and enthusiasm of everyone participating in the
expansion of our Brand’s activities in India could be felt at every step. Everyone participating in the project
deserves our gratitude. The level of social dialogue at both Indian plants also improved significantly. A joint
memorandum on collaboration was signed in order to further support this positive development.
PILOT PROJECT FOR ECO BOXES AT THE AC
If you tend to get takeaway food at the Aramark
restaurant, starting from
March you will have the
option of having it packed in
an environmentally friendly
Eco box which can be reused.
Within the pilot project,
this new alternative will be
tested at the Administrative
Center restaurant. If it gets
positive feedback, we’ll
then expand it to the other
restaurants as well.
How can you get your Eco box? Simply
ask for one directly where you get your
food. You’ll then be asked to pay a onetime deposit of CZK 250, which impacts
the monthly limit but does not affect
your daily limit. Each time you use the
box, we’ll deduct a service fee of CZK 5,
i.e., the same as you'd pay for a one-time
plastic menu box today. You can return the
cleaned box by depositing it in a special
container at the cash register, and after
that you’ll get your deposit back. The
deposit is, however, not refunded if the
box was damaged.
Do you like the Eco box project?
