HISTORY OF OUR
THE L&K SLAVIA
TYPE B MOTORCYCLE
HAS AN IMPORTANT
POSITION IN THE
HISTORY OF OUR
IN MLADÁ BOLESLAV.
It was the first motorcycle with which Laurin &
Klement participated in an international
motorcycle race. The long-distance marathon
from Paris to Berlin was at the time considered
the most demanding event on European
territory. Works driver Narcis Podsedníček
made history on his debut after he finished first
in his class - yet he was not declared the winner.

motorcycle at ŠKODA Storyboard.
MARTIN JAHN: LETTER TO EMPLOYEES
Martin Jahn became the new ŠKODA AUTO Board Member for Sales & Marketing on 1/3/2021.
You can read his introductory message to employees on ŠKODA Space. Jahn returns to ŠKODA
AUTO after more than 12 years. He was already a ŠKODA AUTO Board Member between 2006
and 2008, when he was responsible for Human Resources. Jahn's main tasks will include further
digitalization of the Sales area, development of new business models and new markets and further
strengthening our customer orientation. Another new Board Member, also starting her job from
1/3/2021, is Maren Gräf who will be responsible for Human Resources Management.
IN THE SECOND HALF
OF FEBRUARY, USERS
OF THE DIGISIGN APP COULD
NOTICE NEW IMPROVEMENTS.
One of these is, for example, an easier distinction
between identic names when selecting persons
for approval in a new request. Each employee with
multiple namesakes will now have a number displayed
after his name, in addition to the department, e.g. Jan
Novák 15 (SB). Another change is the increase of time
limit for signing PDF documents from 25 to 30 days.
The corresponding increase to 30 days also applies
to downloading already signed or rejected documents.
To keep things in perspective, the number of PDF
documents per application will also be increased from
5 to 30 in the coming weeks. We'll keep you posted
on further updates to the DigiSign app. You have a lot
to look forward to.
CNG VERSION OFFERS
INSIDE THE NEW
CAR FOR CHINA
SAIC VOLKSWAGEN ŠKODA recently revealed
a design sketch of the next generation of
its OCTAVIA PRO. Now it also shows its
redesigned interior, made in line with younger
generation's aesthetic style. The OCTAVIA PRO
is SAIC VOLKSWAGEN ŠKODA's first car
with a stand-alone central display, which offers
a number of general improvements
in the interaction between users and the car.
ŠKODA AUTO is expanding its range of compressed natural
gas vehicles. The OCTAVIA is now entering the Czech
market with a 1.5 G-TEC engine with an output of 96 kW
(130 hp) and a six-speed manual gearbox. This makes this
type of alternative powertrain even more affordable, with
recommended retail prices starting at CZK 563,900.
WITH A LIMITED-TIME
SPECIAL OFFER, THE
CAN NOW BE
JUST CZK 530 900.
The Mladá Boleslav-based carmaker's portfolio also includes
other CNG-powered models - the SCALA and KAMIQ can
have a 1.0 G-TEC with 66 kW (90 hp) under the bonnet.
At ŠKODA AUTO's main plant in Mladá Boleslav, the
2,000,000th Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) rolled off the line
on 1/3/2021. The anniversary car is also the 250,000th vehicle
in the ŠKODA KAMIQ model range. The great success
of ŠKODA's current SUV model series is also demonstrated
by a look at customer deliveries in 2020 - the ŠKODA
KODIAQ, KAROQ and KAMIQ models account for around 40
percent of all vehicles produced by the automaker worldwide.
