A fair way
ŠKODA AUTO has been publishing Group
statistics on breaches of work discipline and
subsequent sanctions in the VW Group since
February 2019. The aim is to show that the
company is building on the principles of fair
conduct in accordance with the law and
always prioritising the customer’s interests.
WITHIN THE VW GROUP, 4,041 NOTICES
OF BREACHES OF WORK DISCIPLINE
WERE ISSUED IN 62 COMPANIES IN 2019.
EACH OF THESE COMPANIES HAD MORE
THAN 1,000 EMPLOYEES.
THESE COMPANIES, INCLUDING
ŠKODA AUTO, EMPLOY A TOTAL
OF AROUND 487,000 PEOPLE,
OF WHICH 1,044 WERE DISMISSED
FOR ILLEGAL BEHAVIOUR.

REGARDING COMPANY HOLIDAY
Airway protection continues to be
mandatory wherever there are two
or more employees present within
a distance of less than 2 metres –
vehicle assembly shop floors; offices
without the possibility of distancing;
communal hallways; kitchenettes;
toilets; changing rooms; or plant
canteens (with the exception of
the duration of meal consumption).
The obligation to wear airway
protection continues to apply to
indoor areas (production buildings)
for employees who operate between
several workplaces and who may
therefore spread the virus, e.g. indoor
forklift operators, etc.
Employees who wish to continue to
wear a face mask may naturally do so.
New detailed rules, effective from 8 June
2020, can be found in the attachment and
on the infosite at the ŠKODA Space
