Safe and comfy
The ENYAQ iV guarantees its drivers and passengers exceptional safety and comfort, as well as new Simply Clever solutions.
The latest safety and assistance systems for the electric SUV automatically warn of possible collisions with other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and fixed obstacles and, ideally, can prevent or minimise the consequences of an accident.
Still in sight
The new head-up display divides useful information into two parts in the driver’s fields of vision. The current speed, recognised traffic signs and information from the assistance systems are displayed on the windscreen. Navigation instructions, data from driving assistants and traffic warnings are projected through augmented reality onto the road in front of the vehicle. Controlling the vehicle is more comfortable, and the driving is safer.
▶ Up to nine airbags protect the crew in the event of a collision.
Considerate of the more vulnerable
The ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA car to have the new assistant that alerts pedestrians behind the vehicle when reversing or leaving a parking space. Collision Avoidance Assist also helps the driver to prevent an imminent collision with a pedestrian, cyclist or another vehicle by increasing torque and using controlled avoidance. The Exit Warning that sounds when getting out of the car alerts the driver to an oncoming vehicle or cyclist when the door is opened.
Simply Clever iV
eMobility brings new questions to the drivers’ everyday lives. Where do I put the charging cable? How do I keep my hands clean when handling it? The answer comes in the form of new Simply Clever solutions. The protective cap for the charging socket and cable cleaner prevent you from getting dirty. The owner conveniently stores the cable in a compartment located under the boot floor after the car has been charged.
▶ Full LED Matrix headlamps make it possible to drive with high-beams without blinding other road users.
▶ From the Quality department’s point of view, the capacity to respond to the ever-changing parameters of a project has proved to be the new model’s essential element. They are based on the so-called “function list”, which defines what the car “can do” – from direction indicators to safety functions. It was the unstable conditions that we and our colleagues from other departments had to deal with when developing the ENYAQ iV. Thanks to the E-Meisterbock* project, we can detect and address these situations immediately.

Easier Parking
A good many drivers will whoop with delight at the extended parking functions of Park Assist. Remote-controlled parking enables the driver to control their ENYAQ iV from a distance of 5 metres via a smartphone with the ŠKODA Connect app and to complete a parking manoeuvre under complicated conditions so that the car is parked straight. Trained parking can save the routes for up to the five most frequently used parking spaces. Next time, the EV will park by itself and brake automatically.
Peace on the roads
New elements of the ENYAQ iV can help to reduce accidents on Czech roads. Advanced safety assistant systems, the Laura voice control and virtual data projection all reduce human error rates. Drivers who are not fully engaged when driving are the most common cause of road accidents. In 2019, a total of 17,623 collisions on our roads occurred for this reason and cost 60 human lives. Smart sensors prevent collisions with people moving on the road on bike or on foot. Last year, 36 cyclists and 85 pedestrians died due to collisions with cars.
A look into the future
Technology of tomorrow
In the future, augmented reality (AR) will likely play a big role in many industries, including the car sector. The connection of AR systems with maps is being considered, so when travelling you will see, for example, information about the surrounding tourist attractions or options for accommodation and refreshment. Augmented reality can also facilitate basic car maintenance. Your smart glasses or smartphone can tell you where to pour the washer fluid or where the fuses can be found. The technology will also be appreciated by dealers, who will demonstrate the colour variants and equipment of the car interior to their customers.
