The We Love Cycling magazine entertained with unique content from this year’s race

hen the ENYAQ iV appeared as the race director’s car at the Tour de France, the ŠKODA brand rewrote the history of the famous race. Previously, this famous race had never had a purely electric Red Car. Despite the strictest secrecy measures, the team of the online magazine We Love Cycling managed to gather a lot of interesting material ahead of the world premiere. It recorded a message by race director Prudhomme officially announcing the presence of the ENYAQ iV on the Tour and, in cooperation with the ŠKODA Storyboard server, shot a video capturing the car’s transformation into the director’s car and the start of its first stage of the race. The server, which is popular among cycling fans from all over the world, also took a look back at the performance of the electric SUV, this time with a video made in cooperation with the ASO organising company. On the days when the SUPERB iV reappeared as the director’s car, the We Love Cycling team used the race of the mythical Col du Galibier mountain to shoot the video. Together with the famous influencer Cameron Jeffers, they shot the so-called “hero video”, presenting the ENYAQ iV as the perfect companion for cyclists. During this year’s race, the We Love Cycling magazine also collaborated with former professional cyclist and YouTuber Keira McVitty, who not only made interesting behind-the-scenes videos from the first and second stage of the race but also moderated a series of “interviews from the cab of the organiser’s car”. Her guests were former professionals Andy Schleck, Adam Blythe and Christian Philipp, who is the head of the VME – Experience Marketing department. Magazine readers could enjoy articles about the route of the race, as well as comments from experts, profiles of favourites and key moments from history. The editors also prepared a lot of inventive and entertaining materials for social networks.  simona králová
