Škoda Auto grows faster than the market in Europe
The carmaker reported excellent sales and financial results for the first nine months of 2024. It delivered approximately 30,000 cars more than during the same period last year, reaching a total of 671,300 vehicles. A highly successful third quarter significantly contributed to this growth. In Europe, Škoda Auto is outpacing the overall automotive market, with its cars ranking as the fourth best-selling in the region. The largest increases in deliveries during the three quarters were recorded in Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Poland and France. The Enyaq model played a key role in this success, becoming the best-selling electric car in Germany in September and ranking second overall. Financial results followed this positive trend, reflecting the increase in deliveries. Revenue for the three quarters rose by 3.8% year on year to EUR 20.4 billion (over CZK 500 billion), while operating profit increased by 34.8% to EUR 1.7 billion (around CZK 43 billion). The return on sales reached 8.3%, nearly two percentage points higher than in the same period last year.
