FOR ŠKODA AUTO EMPLOYEES
INFORMATION FOR PRODUCTION STAFF (ALSO APPLIES TO EXTERNISTS)

In a week, we will gradually restart production
at our three Czech plants, as announced.
We have coordinated this carefully with
our European suppliers and also with the
Volkswagen Group. The start-up will take place
in line with government regulations in the Czech
Republic and Europe, and in particular,
developments in our sales regions.
The Employee is recommended to leave home wearing a work outfit
(except for selected sites as agreed, e.g. steelworks, forge shops, paint
shops – to be specified by the respective superiors), with their mouth and
nose covered, and prefer an individual mode of transportation.
When entering the site, the Employee is recommended to disinfect
their hands, if a disinfectant is available.
When entering the plant, the Employee places their MFA card
to the turnstile/carousel to clock their arrival.
The Employee may be subjected to a random body temperature check-up
while going through the gate.
The attendance terminals are NOT USED to check arrivals and departures
– these data will be entered automatically.
If the work process so requires, it starts with a 5-minute
disinfection of tools.
The Employee keeps their mouth and nose covered all the time.
The fundamental prerequisite for resuming
production is the implementation of extensive
protective measures for all employees to keep
the risk of infection as low as possible. To this
end, ŠKODA Healthcare, in cooperation with
Production, Human Resources and the KOVO
trade union, has drawn up a detailed ‘Safe
Production’ and ‘Safe Office’ concept with more
than 80 specific measures. These include,
among other things, making sure respirators
and disinfectants are available. We are also
ready to carry out random body temperature
checks at the factory gates. These measures
will, of course, also be in place for office staff.
Our aim is to provide you with the best possible
protection at your workplace. We will give you
more details shortly via our internal
One thing is particularly important to us today:
We would like to thank all those who have
worked hard over the past days and weeks
to make the restart possible. We are not
expecting everything to run smoothly
from 27 April onwards; we have never
developed, built and sold vehicles under these
conditions before. As we are starting up, we will
still need patience to adjust to the new situation.
Looking ahead, however, we are convinced that
we will overcome this challenge together
as a united SKODA family and that our
company will emerge stronger from it.
Stay healthy and take care of yourself and your
The Employee's contact with colleagues outside their work context
During breaks, the Employee uses their snack/team site or a space
reserved for this purpose in their workplace, where applicable.
The Employee maintains strict hygiene standards (washes their hands
with soap and hot water often enough, uses a disinfectant in cases
where they cannot wash their hands), maintains a safe DISTANCE
from other colleagues, REFRAINS FROM GATHERING and from
HAVING FACE-TO-FACE CONVERSATIONS with others.
During breaks, the Employee eats food brought from home or uses
the Aramark-provided (limited) food service.
The Employee tidies up their snack space after the break, so it
can be cleaned properly.
When leaving the plant, the turnstiles are open, and the Employee just
places their MFA somewhere visible so it can be checked by SO staff.
The Employee is obliged to observe the NO SMOKING rule (indoor
and outdoor smoking sites, company cars) until further notice.
The Employee DOES NOT CLOCK THEIR DEPARTURE, their work
time was automatically recorded on their arrival in the morning,
according to the shift plan in place (exceptions to be processed
in cooperation with the respective foreman).
