50TH BARUM RALLY
NO. OF THE WEEK
THE 100,000TH ELECTRIFIED
VEHICLE – AN ENYAQ iV
ROLLED OFF THE LINE
AT ŠKODA AUTO’S
MAIN PLANT ON 30/8.
We use the ‘iV’ badge to identify
models that have a partially or
fully electric powertrain. ŠKODA
AUTO currently produces three
iV series: the ŠKODA SUPERB iV
and ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV plug-in
hybrids, as well as the all-electric
ŠKODA ENYAQ iV. ŠKODA will
be launching at least three more
all-electric models by 2030.
EVERY RALLY ENDS AT THE FINISH OF THE
LAST STAGE. THIS GOLDEN RULE OF
MOTORSPORT ALSO APPLIED TO THIS
YEAR'S BARUM CZECH RALLY ZLÍN.
Jan Kopecký in his ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo
was the winner after Erik Cais, who had been
leading the race until then, crashed about halfway
through the final test. With this dramatic victory,
the Kopecký - Hloušek duo secured the Czech
championship title for 2021 two events before
the end of the season. Not only for motorsport
fans, the large ŠKODA Rally Park was opened on
the Square of Peace in Zlín, which was visited by
approximately 4,000 people.
THE 8TH ŠKODA CLASSIC TOUR
FOR VETERAN CARS STARTS
ON SAT, 4 SEPTEMBER 2021 AT 9:15.
A record 180 crews have registered, which
consist of Škodians from Mladá Boleslav,
Kvasiny and Vrchlabí plants. In front of them a 120-kilometer-long track leading through
Český Ráj and its surroundings. We cordially
invite all fans of historical cars and technology.
The map at ŠKODA Space includes a time schedule
of when and where the first car will appear
(other cars usually follow in a 30-second interval).

Rally prototypes 180/200 RS established the
‘RS’ designation for sporty ŠKODA models.
Engines generated outputs of up to 163 hp.
These very lightweight rally cars came in at just
over 800 kilograms and achieved top speeds
of up to 240 km/h, depending on the gear ratio.
The ŠKODA 180/200 RS models competed
in 1974 and 1975 before being replaced by the
renowned 130 RS. A total of two ŠKODA 200
