Thanks to an embedded SIM card, the KODIAQ is the first ŠKODA car to be fully connected. Customers are offered new ŠKODA Connect
services that will make it even more pleasant to use this exceptional car every day. While the Infotainment Online package brings useful
information related to the current travel route, the Care Connect system enables access to the most important ŠKODA car functions from a
computer or a smart phone. Let’s take a look at the practical Care Connect solutions a KODIAQ owner may enjoy.
With this service, you’ll keep good
track of the vehicle’s technical condition and upcoming service checks. Together with a selected service partner,
the system ensures that your car is always in excellent technical condition.
In addition, you will be sure to receive
assistance in any situation.
You will gain access to different
functions of your car and using
your mobile phone, you might avoid
or simply solve many unpleasant
situations that you might come across
in common traffic.
Admiring the beauty of a foreign
city, you discover you are lost. No
problem! Using a smart phone, you can
easily locate the GPS coordinates of your
car and find the way to it in no time.
Car broken down? A button
on the ceiling panel you with
a service centre that automatically
receives information on the car’s
condition, evaluates the situation and
chooses the optimal solution.
Do you want to drive more efficiently and keep track of your
journeys? Thanks to the application, you
will be updated on average consumption and speed and distance covered.
The KODIAQ itself sends
requirements for a regular check
or oil change to a service partner you
have selected and who will contact
you in advance to plan a service visit.
Do you have a company car and
wish to know whether it is being
used properly? You can set 10 active areas and active periods during which
you will be notified by email or an alert
notification when the car leaves a default zone or enters a forbidden one.
The ŠKODA Connect portal will
help you to keep track of the
car’s technical condition. The car sends
data about its current condition to the
system, and you can check the data
and print it if needed.
Are you about to check in at the
airport, but not sure whether
you locked the parked car? Your smart
phone will answer the question. You
will also know whether your car’s lights

‘2017 will see Care Connect installed in all
ŠKODA models, apart from the smallest
CITIGO. Soon we will expand it with
two new remote car access functions:
unlocking and locking, and online
controlling of the independent vehicle
heater. Connectivity will undergo dynamic
development in the next few years.
New functions of remote car access
will be mainly related to electromobility.
The age of car-to-car and car-to-traffic
infrastructure communication is coming,
too. I think the first signs of such
communication will be seen as early as
VAS/3 – Connected Car MOD/MBB

With a more serious accident in
which an airbag is deployed, a
control unit is activated and automatically connects to the ŠKODA
emergency line. At the same
time, the system sends information about the car’s location, driving direction and severity of the
collision. Conversely, if you are a
witness to an accident of another car, you can call assistance by
pressing the button.
