For more than a year, the heads of the technical development departments from the Group’s volume brands have been meeting regularly within the Brand Group Core to discuss both current and strategic topics. The meeting at the Technology Centre in Česana and focused on strengthening cooperation, exploiting synergies and increasing efficiency in conjunction with simplifying planning processes.
The meeting of technical development leaders from the Brand Group Core marked a crucial step in determining the future direction and deepening cooperation, underscored by successful practical examples.
The Brand Group Core builds on the successful joint development and production of the Škoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat models under the auspices of the Mladá Boleslav brand. The focus of its attention is currently on developing the Small Battery Electric Vehicle (Small BEV) family, spearheaded by SEAT/Cupra. Although still in its early stages, the project is progressing positively. The four upcoming models – Škoda Epiq, Cupra Raval, Volkswagen ID.2 and ID.2 X – are all distinctly different from each other and embody their respective brand identity and design. This approach aims to appeal to the different age groups of people purchasing their first electric car. With attractive concepts priced around EUR 25,000 (approximately CZK 600,000), the Brand Group Core is making a significant contribution to the entry-level segment of electric mobility.
