KODA AUTO Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) implemented the FORCE Program principles at its plants in India a year ago. Thanks to the various measures, including more efficient cooperation of workforce, the optimisation of production plans and digitisation, as well as the re-use of packaging material, there has been a saving of EUR 1.74 million (almost CZK 47 million). Production and Logistics is preparing to launch cars under the INDIA 2.0 project and is constantly working towards increasing its capacity. As the entire world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the well-designed measures of the FORCE Program that enabled the production plants in Pune and Aurangabad to initiate the required activities. A total of 80 percent of the measures for 2020 have already been implemented. To spread awareness and to bring employees up to speed with the FORCE Program, each cluster shares how they are progressing towards their set targets in monthly Darpan. This gives the employees, a chance to actively contribute to the program by sharing their suggestions and ideas. It also helps in breaking silos and connecting different teams by bringing them together to work towards the bigger goal. “The coming days will be challenging but the active involvement of our employees can definitely contribute to the vision of a forward-looking India, where SAVWIPL will become a benchmark for others and also act as an engine for the entire industry”, says Mojmír Hájek, head of I-P – Production and Logistics India Region. I am impressed by the teams here in India. Their relentless efforts and commitment have yielded positive results. This is exactly what we’re looking for and what will help us succeed in the region of India.

I-PSE/1 – Project Management Support
In the diverse Indian market, the FORCE Program works as a great tool that unites people’s ideas and efforts to make the company’s vision come true. The defined measures and the management’s efforts to achieve goals will allow the production facilities to handle all new projects smoothly. I’m grateful to be part of a programme that, through partial operations, leads to profitability, customer orientation, employee development and sustainable growth for SAVWIPL.
