ŠKODA WEEKLY 17/2020

GLOSSARY HELPS WITH ABBREVIATIONS

SUPPORTING

MEDICS

You can now help the front-line medical

services in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny and

Vrchlabí financially. On our request, the

NROS (Civil Society Development

Foundation) founded a charity account

for a time-limited employee collection

named "Helping medics against

COVID-19". It is supported by ŠKODA

AUTO and the KOVO Trade Union.

The interactive app Glossary was created by the GMP/1 department in cooperation with G, GG, and FIV/3.

Thanks to this app, you will no longer get lost in abbreviations such as MOAP, A-NE, STC, and others. It is

useful for all employees with smartphones including those who are a part of the Bring Your Own Device

program. It is also a valuable tool for new employees as well as those

who have just moved to a new department.

LESSER-KNOWN MODELS:

TYPE 990 „HAJAJA“

The legendary ŠKODA 1000 MB with a rear-mounted engine and rearwheel drive was one of the world’s most modern vehicles in the onelitre class in the mid-1960s. The basic version of the model, also known

as ‘Embéčko’, was a 4-door notchback – although there were also

plans for a coupé, a roadster and an estate. The only estate ŠKODA

Type 990 ‘Hajaja’ (1963) ever produced can be seen today as a

permanent exhibit at the ŠKODA Museum in Mladá Boleslav.

IS IN PILOT STAGE FOR ŠKODA

AUTO EMPLOYEEES.

The investigation revealed the disinfection for employees

was stolen by an external company worker. She has

confessed to this deed. The case was then handed over

to the Czech Police. The MFA Card, allowing entry into the

plant, was immediately taken away from the perpetrator and

she will not be allowed into any ŠKODA AUTO's premises

in the future. Increased attention is and will still be paid to

eventual thefts of protective or disinfection supplies.

already distributed over 5,000 masks to people in need already. Together

with the Czech Association of Public Benefit Organizations (AVPO ČR), we

have provided Mr. Vladimír with a ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI.
