RALLY POLAND: ANDREAS MIKKELSEN
CONQUERS SECOND PLACE
WITH ŠKODA FABIA RALLY2 EVO
Dust, gravel, high speed and hot temperatures were the
ingredients of ORLEN Rally Poland (18–20/7/2021) which
kicked off the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC).
Norwegians Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Fløene kept cool and
drove the Toksport WRT run ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo to
a strong second place overall. ERC Rally Poland sees strong
performances of private ŠKODA FABIA crews, seven
of them finish inside the top 10.
The championship will now continue from
1–3/7/2021 at Rally Liepāja (Lithuania).
The popular young falcon
eyases from ŠKO-ENERGO are
in great condition. Lately, they have
been trying their first take-offs.
The curious female falcon set out
alone to scout the surroundings, but
she did not return from her trip.
Fortunately, thanks to
the firefighters from ŠKODA AUTO,
they female falcon was
transported to the Huslík Rescue
Station in Poděbrady. Here she was
quickly identified thanks to her bird
band, and then brought back to the
paint shop chimney at ŠKOENERGO. So the falcon family was
reunioned in the booth after a few
JOURNEY TO THE PLATE
SUPPORTS ECOLOGY AND
You will have noticed that we have launched a new project in our
restaurants called Journey to the Plate. In cooperation with local
suppliers, we offer primarily seasonal vegetables and fruits and these
ingredients for you and process them for you in our restaurants.
In this way, we both support local farmers and reduce our carbon
footprint by minimising imports. In addition, seasonal fruit and
vegetables taste better and gives you more vitamins and
antioxidants that imported food loses in transit. Learn more
at www.cestanatalir.cz, where we post interesting information and
articles or tempting recipes. This project is one of many we are doing
to minimize our overall ecological footprint. Thank you for caring too,
the environment in which we live together, and by your daily choices
you help us keep it healthy. There is something that everyone can do,
whether it's sorting waste or eating wisely. In restaurants and kiosks,
we minimize disposal, whether it's dealing with leftover food or
packaging materials, which we are gradually replacing with recyclable
options. In this respect, we are also constantly exploring new options
and alternatives, in full compliance with EU legislation, of course.
We have already succeeded in completely eliminating the use
of disposable plastic straws and at the same time we offer you the
possibility to spin your hot drink at selected locations in your own
washable mug or in the 100% recyclable KeepCup thermo mug,
which is now available on sale now. We want to minimise the use
of disposable packaging in general, so as a next step we have decided
to replace plastic pastry bags with paper ones. We hope that you will
join us in this initiative and all the others that we are gradually
preparing for you, but also for the planet.

NO. OF THE WEEK
The OCTAVIA is ŠKODA’s
current bestseller. The
COMBI variant production
started in summer 1961 in
Kvasiny. One amazing
feature of the first OCTAVIA
COMBI was that it could be
converted into a comfortable
bedroom. A very practical,
and in today’s terms simply
clever feature was a separate
compartment for the spare
wheel, stored under the boot
floor and accessed by a
separate hinged cover above
the bumper. Folding the rear
seats created a luggage area
up to 1050 litres.
