Seven Teams, Seven Ideas
The two-day Agentic Forge Code Along event showed where artificial intelligence can be used in everyday practice.
Artificial intelligence solutions within the Microsoft technology environment are also an important part of the carmaker's digital transformation. These were the focus of the September Agentic Forge Code Along event, which brought together seven teams made up of experts from Škoda Auto, Green:Code, VW Group Digital Solutions (Portugal) and VW Group Digital Solutions (India). They worked on solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Azure and GitHub Copilot technologies.
"Digital transformation is a team sport, and real innovation comes from collaboration across teams, companies and areas of expertise," said Ina Offergeld, Head of FIT – AI and Transformation, at the opening. Here is an overview of the ideas the teams worked on.
Information neatly in one place
The team led by Roman Čejka from the GQF-3 – QM MBO, Measurement and Digital Center department worked on the Cross-System Information Consolidation project, developing an agent that connects information from various internal systems and makes it easier to search.
An assistant to help with documentation
The team led by Nikola Běloubková from the GQH-3 – QS Components – Product Technology department focused on a solution that automates the checking of sampling documentation. This will help speed up the process, increase its accuracy and identify missing or incorrect documents.
Improved pedestrian protection analysis
The team led by Tomáš Říha from ES – Concept Development used machine learning and computer vision to automatically evaluate the results of pedestrian protection tests. This leads to greater accuracy, faster decision-making by experts and less need for lengthy manual analysis.
Practise difficult conversations with a robot
The team led by Veronika Zacharníková from SE – Škoda Academy developed an AI-based assistant that allows employees to practise difficult work conversations in a safe environment.
So that agreed steps don't just stay on paper
The team led by Gaspar Antonio Astorga Palma from F/2 – Digital Delivery Center Area F designed a solution that uses artificial intelligence to turn meeting outcomes into specific tasks, responsibilities and deadlines.
Competition under the microscope
The team led by Helena Doanová from the VVD – Product Data Management department developed an agent for automatically collecting and evaluating publicly available information about competitors. The aim was to ensure an up-to-date overview of the market and support faster, better-informed decision-making.
Automation to simplify administration
The team led by Markéta Klégerová from the E0Z – Planning and Coordination department worked on automating the creation and management of project sites in SharePoint. This is intended to simplify administration, ensure a consistent structure for project spaces and speed up their rollout across the organisation.
