Weekend with the Škoda Elroq
What's it like to drive a car that passed through the hands of your colleagues in Mladá Boleslav? Lukáš Bureš, a Paint Shop worker from PFK-L – Paint Shop Kvasiny, tells us about it. He became an eMobility ambassador when he borrowed a Škoda Elroq for the weekend and drove approximately 1,000 km with his family.
"On Friday, we set off from Ústí nad Orlicí to the Suchý vrch lookout tower. On the way back, we drove through Králíky and the Pastviny Dam. In total, we covered about 170 km that day," says Lukáš. He did the first charge at work after his night shift, and it went completely smoothly. "On Saturday, we visited a flower sale event in Pardubice. Then we stopped at our cottage and continued on to the Barborka lookout tower and then to the Les Království reservoir," he continues. This time, the car was charged at a public 50 kW charging station.
"On Sunday, we set off to visit my sister in Litoměřice, so we also tried out a longer motorway journey of over 300 km. In total, we covered about 450 km that day, and at times I was worried whether we'd have enough charge to get home," he adds. Throughout the whole weekend, they used various types of charging and looked for suitable charging stations.
"What surprised us most was how quiet the ride was and how comfortable the seats were. For colleagues who will also borrow the car, we recommend planning the route and charging stops in advance, which will certainly save them time and worry. We had a great weekend, and I'd really recommend testing an electric car to everyone," Lukáš advises his colleagues.

Lukáš's Fairy-Tale Trip
A few kilometres from Dvůr Králové nad Labem lies one of the most beautiful reservoirs in the Czech Republic, Les Království. Thanks to the dam wall, towers, the dam keeper's house, the water surface and the surrounding vast forests, you'll feel as if you've stepped into a fairy tale. If you're bringing children along, be sure to combine the trip with a visit to the Hájemství Forest Playground, with its endless climbing structures among the trunks of old trees, or take a walk along the Les Království Nature Trail. If you set aside a whole weekend for the trip, make sure not to miss the nearby baroque Kuks Hospital with its statues by Matyáš Bernard Braun. You'll also find more of his work in the open-air forest gallery called Braun's Nativity Scene.
