How to Race on Asphalt
Asphalt, along with gravel, is one of the most common rally surfaces. To a layperson, it might seem that a car is easier to control on it. But even here, a driver has to take a different approach than on a classic racing circuit, for example. In the next part of the Rally Through a Driver's Eyes series on the Škoda Motorsport website, Emil Lindholm describes this. He focuses, for instance, on choosing the right racing line or how important it is to keep the tyres at the correct temperature. According to him, treacherous dirt on the track, which gets there mainly in corners, also has a major impact.
