Successes From Rome to Jyväskylä
The first half of the summer went well for crews in Škoda cars. Take a look at all the rallies where they did well.
The podium belonged to Škoda cars
The strongly attended Rally di Roma Capitale, part of the European Rally Championship (ERC), was won in early July by Roberto Daprà and Luca Guglielmetti. They were joined on the podium by two more crews in the Fabia RS Rally2.
The leader won for the third time
Dominik Stříteský of the Auto Podbabská Škoda Team dealer squad extended his lead in the Czech national championship with his third victory. He took it at the Bohemia Rally in Mladá Boleslav. Besides the tense fight for the win, visitors also enjoyed the Škoda Auto fan zone on Komenského Square.
Estonian defended his home win
Robert Virves and Jakko Viilo underlined their excellent record so far at this year's WRC2 world championship round on home soil in Estonia. In the Fabia RS Rally2 of the Toksport WRT team, they led from the second special stage of one of the fastest gravel rallies.
Finns claimed their first victory
The Rally Poland, part of the European Rally Championship (ERC) series, delivered a very tense contest. In the final standings, only 16.1 seconds separated the first four crews. Teemu Suninen and Antti Haapala took their maiden win in this championship, and two more crews in Škoda cars joined them on the podium. The Finnish driver has therefore significantly extended his lead in the overall European Championship standings.
The Successful Run Continues
Four rally starts, four wins. Estonian Robert Virves and co-driver Jakko Viilem added another victory in the WRC2 category at Rally Finland, keeping their season flawless. After 10 of the 14 events, they lead the overall standings with a 21-point advantage. In Finland, the home crew of Lauri Joona and Antti Linnaketo also fared well in a Škoda, finishing third.
