The Karoq Has Passed a Milestone and Awaits a Successor
In July, the millionth Karoq rolled off the production line at the Kvasiny plant. The anniversary car has a 1.5 TSI engine with an output of 110 kW and is painted in Graphite Grey. The carmaker reached this milestone ten years after the practical SUV was launched on the market in 2017. “The Karoq is a particularly important model for the Kvasiny plant. Reaching the one million mark is the result of the commitment and teamwork of many people over the past years,” highlights Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Chief Production Officer.
As Škoda's third SUV, the Karoq has become one of the pillars of the range in around 60 markets around the world. It appeals to customers with its large and versatile interior space, generous equipment, economical engines and design honoured with the Red Dot Award. Last year it was the fifth most popular Škoda model, with 102,600 Karoq cars delivered to customers. Its biggest sales are in Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. Preparations for the new generation of the Karoq are continuing, with its presentation planned for the turn of 2027 and 2028.
