In recent months, the Digital Adoption Tool (DAT) has become one of the key tools for digital transformation within the VW Group. It is integrated into the global Hello Success system and, as an intuitive help feature, significantly simplifies work for users at Group companies that use this HR system. Škoda Auto will join their ranks in the second half of this year.

DAT provides interactive guides and navigation directly within the Hello Success environment, allowing employees to complete their tasks quickly and accurately — without having to search for documentation. "Systems within the VW Group are often complex, and their implementation required costly and time-consuming training. DAT allows users to navigate processes easily and directly within the application," says Zdeňka Raková, DAT product owner from the SPA/S – HR Digitization & Digital Adoption GCC department. DAT also collects anonymised analytical data on the use of individual processes, helping to identify unclear steps and improve the user experience in Hello Success.

It is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution from Whatfix. Škoda Auto is the exclusive provider of this platform within the VW Group. Live operations were first launched at the largest customer — the parent company Volkswagen AG — where DAT has been available to more than 116,000 employees since September 2025. Companies in North America, Mexico, Brazil, Germany and elsewhere are gradually being added. The integration of additional brands is planned for this year.

Another advantage of DAT is its high level of customisation. Each employee sees only content relevant to their company, job position and selected language. This makes work in Hello Success more accurate, faster and with minimal errors. "Users get tasks right the first time," emphasises Z. Raková, adding that DAT reduces training costs and the number of enquiries directed to technical support.

For Škoda Auto, DAT is not just a technological product — it is an opportunity to confirm its role as a competence centre for digital adoption within the VW Group. The team responsible for the tool faced a difficult task: integrating it into Hello Success in a short time and for a large number of internal customers. "Another challenge was ensuring proper content segmentation and the technical readiness of individual entities," says David Sak, IT delivery manager in the FIC/4 – Digital & Data Platforms department.

The year 2025 was dedicated to the launch and support of the first customers. This year is focused on optimising the platform and expanding it to other companies. "We want to strengthen automation and move towards a state where customers manage content independently," adds D. Sak.
